At our Centre we understand what it means to leave your home, for something new, so we do our best to create a welcoming and homely atmosphere. In one of our four homes you can rest assured that meals, laundry and cleaning services are provided with a 24/7 team of carers, cleaning and kitchen staff. Over time, our goal is for our house to become your second home.
At Alta we place great value in the family dynamic and view our residents as family members. We do our best to create an environment that encourages belonging and community. We encourage participation at all levels and our families are actively involved in championing the ideals we hold dear.
At Alta we know that solutions are only created from viewing the person as a whole being. People with intellectual disabilities have their own desires, values, personal situations, social circumstances and lifestyles. By taking these interconnected parts into consideration we strive to deliver a hands-on, person-centred approach.
At our Centre, our commitment extends into the very heart of the community we serve. The work we do focuses on assisting our residents and day workers to be included in all aspects of life.
Our residential care programme creates a supportive environment where residents feel valued and secure. Our dedicated team ensures that each individual receives personalized care, fostering independence and promoting a sense of community.
Our day programs are designed to enhance the skills and abilities of our residents. From educational activities to vocational training, we focus on creating meaningful occupation that contribute to personal growth and development.
At Alta we teach our residents and dayworkers life skills aimed at improving their ability to cope with daily challenges, manage emotions and building healthy relationships.
We offer around the clock basic medical services by qualified nursing staff to provide attentive care, administer medications and monitor the health status of our residents.
Donations are vital to support our centre in providing essential care and opportunities for our residents with intellectual disabilities to thrive.
Volunteers are part of our centre, bringing joy and companionship to our residents while enriching their lives and experiences.
Sponsorship provides vital financial support, ensuring our centre can offer essential care and opportunities to those without financial means.
